ABOUT MYRTLE
A multidisciplinary contracting firm operating across civil works, oil and gas procurement, and real estate — from a single accountable structure based in Kampala.
THE FOUNDING IDEA
Myrtle was founded in 2023 to address a specific gap in the Ugandan infrastructure market: the absence of locally-incorporated firms that could deliver across multiple sectors with international-standard compliance documentation. We saw too many contracts being subcontracted to offshore firms because no local partner offered the operational range and accountability that procurement officers require. We built Myrtle to be that partner.
THE DAILY PRACTICE
Each project runs through documented protocols — risk assessment at start, compliance verification throughout, structured handover at completion. We don’t promise spectacular outcomes; we promise that what we say we’ll deliver is what we deliver, on the agreed timeline, with the paperwork complete. Procurement officers don’t need miracles. They need partners who do the job and document it correctly.
OUR APPROACH
Four operating principles that shape how Myrtle delivers across every sector. Read together, they are the firm’s operational character.
01
Projects delivered on the timeline we agreed, with the scope we specified, and the documentation we promised. No surprises, no scope creep, no last-minute requests for additional payment.
02
Civil works, oil and gas procurement, and real estate operate from one accountable structure. One team, one chain of authority, one point of contact across project phases that would otherwise require coordinating three separate vendors.
03
We sign for our work in our own name. When something needs correcting, you talk to us — not to a subcontractor we hired and a layer of paperwork. Our compliance documentation is in our company name. So is the responsibility.
04
We choose proven methods over experimental ones, durable materials over cheap ones, and documented processes over improvisation. The job is to build infrastructure that works for decades — not to be the most innovative firm in the room.
HEALTH · SAFETY · ENVIRONMENT
Every Myrtle project operates on a documented zero-harm commitment. This is not a slogan — it is a measurable operational standard, executed through specific protocols at every project phase from site mobilization to handover.
Our HSE Policy is current, signed by company leadership, and available to clients on request as part of the bid documentation package. It is reviewed annually and updated as Ugandan regulatory requirements evolve.

QUALITY PROTOCOLS
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Quality assurance at Myrtle means engineered specification, not aspirational standards. Every project carries documented testing protocols, formal inspection records, and a structured handover that transfers full quality documentation to the client.
Our Quality Assurance Statement is reviewed against current Ugandan engineering standards and signed by company leadership. It forms part of every bid documentation package, available to procurement officers without separate request.
